As you can see for the picture the station is mounted on my garden shed which is not the most ideal position but my house doesn't have a chimney!!!
The mounting shelf that the rain gauge and solar transmitters sit on was purchased from Skyview including P&P cost £18 and in my opinion is crap!!
The installation kit came from B&Q superstore
The remote sensors are mounted on a project box from Maplins
I have to say it was hard work putting the rain gage in position due mostly in part to the crap platform.. don't buy this item as it looks ok but functions poorly and takes a lot of effort to maintain gage at a decent level
A close up of the project box with sensors mounted. the box performs two functions...firstly it hides the unsightly excess cable and secondly it provides a suitable mounting platform for the solar transmitters
